English Georgian Period 1800s Pine Dresser with Open Shelves and Drawers
$18,000
An English Georgian period pine dresser from the early 19th century, with open shelves, Doric style pilasters, petite door and four drawers. Created in England during the Georgian period in the early years of the 19th century, this elegant pine dresser features a molded cornice sitting above open shelves flanked by majestic Doric style fluted pilasters. The base, of deeper dimensions, is made of four drawers flanked with additional Doric pilasters of smaller size and sans the fluted décor. These drawers are fitted with brass hardware and surround a petite door in the center. The unusual skirt is carved with arching accents. The sides showcase raised panels and the back’s unfinished and nicely distressed appearance reveals the piece’s good age. With its great proportions, nicely carved décor and lovely patina, this English Georgian period pine dresser circa 1800 will make for a wonderful addition to any home, particularly placed in a dining room or living room.
