Oil on Board Painting of King Charles Spaniels After Landseer, circa 1900

A charming late 19th-century oil on board painting depicting two King Charles Spaniels nestled in a richly appointed interior, painted in the manner of Sir Edwin Landseer. The painting is presented in a later burl wood frame with a gilt liner, enhancing its visual warmth and traditional appeal. A label on the reverse attributes the composition to Herman Simon after a Landseer original housed in the National Gallery, London.
