Pair of Blue and White Porcelain Table Lamps, Asian, circa 1920
$3,750
This pair of blue and white porcelain table lamps was custom-assembled from early 20th-century Asian vessels, likely dating to circa 1920. The porcelain bases are hand-painted in a traditional cobalt palette, each side adorned with alternating panels of idyllic landscape scenes, auspicious floral motifs, and decorative borders that evoke classic Chinese export ware.
The bodies are mounted on square giltwood plinths and topped with brass hardware, rewired for use in the United States. The curving shoulder profile and inset handles lend architectural interest, while the painted imagery provides a layered surface rich in decorative appeal. Both lamps are nearly identical but retain slight, desirable variation due to the hand-painted nature of the porcelain.
Measuring 21 inches high to the top of the socket, with a main body width of 7.75 inches and a base width of 6.75 inches, they strike a balanced scale for console tables, nightstands, or sideboards. Shades are not included, allowing for customization to suit interior preferences.
Sold as a pair. Professionally wired and ready for use.
