Tile-Top Side Table with Polychrome Ceramic Tiles and Custom Black Base

This side table features a square top composed of four polychrome ceramic tiles, each molded in relief and decorated with a repeating ornamental pattern in soft blue, ochre, and cream tones. At the center of each tile is a stylized monogram set within a crowned cartouche, surrounded by scrolling foliate elements and geometric framing, characteristic of European revival tile designs from the late 19th to early 20th century.

The tiles are set within a simple black frame and supported by a custom base with slender vertical supports joined by curved stretchers, offering a clean architectural contrast to the decorative surface above.

The relief decoration of the tiles adds both texture and depth, while the glazed finish provides subtle variation in tone across the surface. The composition is symmetrical and graphic, making the table visually engaging despite its compact scale.
